Understanding the AAPI-2-Assessing Parenting Attitudes

This 90 minute webinar is designed to help participants understand and better interpret the AAPI-2. The AAPI-2 is an inventory designed to assess the parenting and child rearing attitudes of adolescents and adult parent and pre-parent populations. Based on the known parenting and child rearing behaviors of abusive parents, responses to the inventory provide an index of risk for practicing behaviors known to be attributable to child abuse and neglect. Understanding this instrument can assist child welfare workers with identifying proper referrals to strengthen outcomes for families.

Special instructions: TARGETED PARTICIPANTS: All Family Services, Foster Care, and Adoption Specialists are strongly encouraged to participate. All other Child Welfare staff are welcome to participate.
REGISTRATION: The link for the webinar will be sent to all Training Coordinators to distribute throughout their region. Training Coordinators are responsible for having staff complete a sign-in sheet to verify participation.
