The DSNAP deadline in Ascension, Jefferson, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans and St. John the Baptist parishes is September 11. The deadline for Plaquemines, St. Bernard and St. Tammany parishes is September 12.
Last Evacuees in State-Run Shelters Return to Their Communities 09.04.12 - The Department of Children and Family Services has announced today that the last evacuees have left state-run shelters in Alexandria and Shreveport. East Feliciana, Livingston Residents Sentenced for Food, Child Care Assistance Benefits Fraud 08.01.12 - Investigations by the Fraud and Recovery Unit at the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) have led to the sentencing of an East Feliciana couple and four women from Livingston Parish for obtaining nearly $100,000 in ineligible food and child care assistance benefits.
